Slot counts himself lucky after disappointing match
Arne Slot counted himself lucky on Sunday afternoon after Liverpool’s win at Nottingham Forest. A last-gasp goal from Alexis Mac Allister gave the reigning champions all three points in the very final second. Liverpool escaped despite a poor performance, Slot admitted.
Prestianni provisionally suspended
UEFA has imposed a provisional suspension on Gianluca Prestianni. An investigation is currently underway into whether the Benfica player made racist remarks during the Champions League match against Real Madrid. As a result, the Argentine will miss the return leg in the playoff round.
Barcelona denies complaint against Joan Laporta
Barcelona has denied as completely false the documents behind a National Court complaint accusing president Joan Laporta of money laundering and improper commissions, and says it will launch legal and disciplinary action ahead of the 15 March club elections.
