Beşiktaş appoints Solskjaer’s successor in a return move
Beşiktaş have reappointed Sergen Yalçın as head coach following the dismissal of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Turkish coach, who previously led the club to a league and cup double, returns to stabilise a squad that has missed out on European football after early exits to Shakhtar Donetsk and Lausanne.
Mourinho sacked by Fenerbahçe
According to Turkish media, José Mourinho will receive a large payout after being dismissed on Friday as head coach of Fenerbahçe. In recent weeks, relations with the board had already been under great strain. Following the elimination from the Champions League, the situation exploded.
Rodri and Carvajal recalled for Spain immediately after knee injuries
Spain coach Luis de la Fuente has once again included Rodri and Dani Carvajal in his squad. The duo were sidelined for a long spell last season due to serious knee injuries but have now recovered.
